Rules

The written rules of the Abu Milk Mile — money, punishments, forfeits, and how trades get policed.

Article 1

Trade Vetoes — League Vote

How the league may block a trade deemed as unfair or otherwise illegitimate.

Voting on the trade

  1. 1.1Trades may be voted on by members of the league in the Trades tab during the standard 24-hour period after a trade is accepted.
  2. 1.2When submitting a vote to uphold or veto a trade, you will be prompted to provide a brief explanation of your reasoning. This will be visible only to the Commissioner and only exists to ensure that votes are being cast in good faith.
  3. 1.3A league member may vote to uphold or veto any trade for any reason, as long as that reasoning is held in good faith.
  4. 1.4A trade will be vetoed by the Commissioner if it reaches 5 'Veto' votes during the standard 24-hour period.
  5. 1.5A trade will be upheld by the Commissioner if it reaches 5 'Uphold' votes, or if the 24-hour period passes without sufficient votes to veto.

Note

Attempting to influence other league members' votes on a trade in any way is strictly prohibited.

Article 2

Trade Vetoes — Executive Veto

When the Commissioner can make the decision to block a trade.

Valid Scenarios

  1. 2.1In cases of obvious collusion.
  2. 2.2When there is no reasonable argument for one side to benefit from the trade.
  3. 2.3When both parties involved in the trade agree to request that the trade be canceled.
  4. 2.4When one side has clearly and unjustly taken advantage of another side, e.g. trading away a player immediately after an injury before the news became widespread.

Note

The Commissioner's goal is to exercise the Executive Veto as little as possible. In the majority of cases, the decision of whether to veto a trade should be handled by league member vote.

Article 3

Buy-In and Punishment Deposit

What everyone pays, when it's due, and what the pot pays out.

Buy-In and Prize Pool

  1. 3.1Each league member will be required to pay $10 towards the Prize Pot.
  2. 3.2Of the resulting $120 Prize Pot, $80 will go towards 1st Place, $30 towards second, and $10 towards third.
  3. 3.3Prizes will be paid out immediately following the conclusion of the Playoffs.

Punishment Deposit

  1. 3.4To avoid situations such as the Great Brad Flake of 2025, all league members will also be required to pay $30 as a Punishment Deposit.
  2. 3.5This deposit will be returned to all league members no matter what, unless they lose the league *and* fail to complete the punishment in a full and timely manner.
  3. 3.6Punishment deposits will be returned immediately upon conclusion of the Regular Season for all players who did not finish in the Toilet Bowl; immediately upon victory for the winner of the Toilet Bowl; and immediately upon completion of the punishment for the loser of the league.

Other Details

  1. 3.7All payments are due in full by August 15, 2026, or one week before the Draft.
  2. 3.8All payments will be made towards the League Treasurer. The League Treasurer is, by default, the Commissioner, but the league may decide by gentleman's discussion to appoint another league member to serve as Treasurer if preferred.
  3. 3.9For more details on the punishment and the Toilet Bowl, refer to Section 4.
  4. 3.10We want the league to be accessible to anyone, regardless of financial situation. If you cannot afford the $40 total buy-in for the league, please contact the Commissioner, who will discuss potentially helping cover your cost of entry.
Article 4

Punishment Rules

Who takes the punishment, what it is, and how it's enforced.

How the loser is determined

  1. 4.1After the conclusion of the Regular Season, 11th and 12th place will face off in the first week of the Playoffs in the Toilet Bowl.
  2. 4.2The loser of the Toilet Bowl is subject to the League Punishment.

The Punishment

  1. 4.3This year's punishment is to attend a fancy dinner at a nice restaurant, accompanied by a life-sized blow-up doll.
  2. 4.4The specific blow-up doll will be decided upon by the top three finishers in the league.
  3. 4.5The first $20 of the doll's cost will be sponsored by the Commissioner. All costs on top of that will be split among the parties who selected the doll.
  4. 4.6The doll may not be excessively sexual or graphic in nature.

Requirements

  1. 4.7The loser must attend a full dinner, including ordering food for themselves and for the doll.
  2. 4.8The dinner must take place at a relatively nice establishment, as agreed upon by the members of the League.
  3. 4.9Proof of the entire endeavor must be provided, including a picture taken by another guest at the establishment and a picture of the meal's receipt.
  4. 4.10Additional proof such as videos and pictures are highly encouraged.

Note

Don't be a pussy. The punishment will be a lot less painful and a lot more fun if you just embrace it and go along with it.

Article 5

Weekly Inactivity Forfeit

The penalty for being a deadbeat.

  1. 5.1If any player does not send a text message to the group chat for an entire calendar week - Sunday through Saturday - they forfeit their next game.
  2. 5.2Starting players who have been injured for several weeks or who are on bye may also subject you to forfeit, at the Commissioner's discretion.
  3. 5.3Don't be a deadbeat. It isn't that hard.
Article 6

Illegal Transactions

Types of trades or transactions that are not permitted.

Loaner Trades

  1. 6.1Loaner trades are defined as trades where one side receives permanent compensation, e.g. a bench player, for temporary compensation, e.g. a starting player to be returned to the original team after one week.

Add-Drop Trades

  1. 6.2Add-drop trades are defined as trades where two parties attempt to conduct a trade after the Trade Deadline by simultaneously dropping players from their roster for the other party to pick up from free agency.
